Our Summer Reading bookmark contest is back! We need the help of talented artists in town to design our Summer Reading bookmarks. The theme for this year’s Summer Reading program is “100 Years of Summer Reading.” Our mascots are the goats, Gus (for the Children’s program) and Billie (our teen goat). We are also posthumously honoring the librarian who created our first ‘Vacation Reading Club’ back in 1924, Frances Holbrook. Need inspiration? Get details about this year’s Summer Reading program here.
Participating is easy:
- Get an entry form at any Library service desk or download it below. Draw your design right on the form.
- Your design can relate specifically to this year’s theme, 100 Years of Summer Reading, or to reading, or summer, in general. Get creative!
- Turn in a hard copy of your design to any library service desk by Sunday, June 9.
- The contest is open to all ages.
- Four winning designs will be chosen by our staff, and a new design will be given out at the Library each week between July 8 and August 4.
Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
