Strategic planning process kicks off with patron survey

A stack of colored pencils on a light blue background with the statement "Your opinion matters' in red in a speech bubble.Library administration, staff and the Board of Trustees are excited to announce the launch of the Library’s 2025 strategic planning process. Over the next few months, Library staff will work with ReThinking Libraries to gather valuable community input through interviews with Library patrons, local business owners, and school leadership and faculty.

In addition to these interviews, we invite all community members to take our brief online survey to help us better understand what matters most to you. We want to know what is important to the community and how our programs, services and collection can best reflect what is needed in the years ahead. If you prefer to take the survey on paper, you can pick up a copy at our Patron Services or Reference desks, or use this printable PDF and submit it to a Library staff member in person.

Please keep an eye out for our Friday morning email newsletter or our print newsletter, delivered to all Park Ridge households the week of February 17, for more information and links to the survey. You will also find updates about the process on our Facebook and Instagram accounts throughout March and April.

Your feedback is vital as we shape the Library’s mission, vision and roadmap for the next four years. Our goal is to have the plan approved by the Library Board of Trustees by August 2025. Thank you for being a part of this process.
