The Friends of the Park Ridge Library raised $6,000 through their annual Fall Book Sale last weekend. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Library to help cover the cost of programs like the new concert series, prizes for the Summer and Winter Reading programs, and other projects.
Co-president Deb Kuhlman sees readers of all ages come through the doors and every sale. This year she shared some quotes from sale enthusiasts:
“Rumba with Xavier Cugat…how could I NOT buy this vinyl?”
“Mom, mom, mom, look what I found!”
“Wait, they’re only 50 cents? Oh, I have to go back and get some more.”
“Just found the perfect Christmas presents for my mom and sister: Hollywood star glamour paper dolls.”
“My son is studying theology, and he’s going to love these Great Courses on St. Augustine and Apostle Paul.”
“I know you’re closing in a few minutes, but I just need to get these gorgeous Christmas books.”
Thank you to everyone who shopped the sale, purchased or renewed a membership, and enjoyed the opportunity to support the Friends of the Park Ridge Library.
